A Message from ZenAway Vacation Rentals: CoVID-19 (Coronavirus)

April 23 2021 Update: 

The PHO is strengthening province-wide restrictions. These restrictions came into effect March 29 at 11:59pm and last until May 25 at midnight. They include:

  • Non-essential travel is restricted between health regions
  • Whistler Blackcomb ski resort is closed
  • Indoor low intensity group exercise classes are cancelled
  • Restaurants, pubs and bars are closed for indoor dining. Outdoor patio seating and take-out delivery is allowed
  • The variance allowing indoor religious gatherings and worship services between March 28 and May 13 is suspended

Travel and COVID-19:

Under the Emergency Program Act (EPA), an order restricting non-essential travel between certain regions of the province is in place until May 25 at midnight. This includes travel for vacations, weekend getaways, tourism, visiting family and friends, and recreation activities. Fines can be given to people who leave their health region for non-essential travel.

March 2021 Update: 

The Provincial Health Officer has amended the gathering and events order. Up to 10 people can gather outdoors. For example, 10 people can gather in a backyard or at a park. Maintain physical distancing, use masks, and stick to the same people.

No social gatherings of any size indoors are allowed.

As the travel advisory is a recommendation and not an Order, ZenAway Whistler is leaving the decision about whether to travel to Whistler up to guests, and will not be pro-actively cancelling existing bookings.

Our Response to the Pandemic

ZenAway Whistler is committed to keeping our community and our province safe, and are respecting the current health orders restricting non-essential travel. We look forward to welcoming guests once the travel restrictions are lifted.

We look forward to continuing to serve our guests, and doing so in a safe, responsible manner. We have introduced a number of enhancements to our procedures in order to ensure our guests feel safe at our properties, and can enjoy Whistler with total peace of mind.

Cleaning Process Enhancement

ZenAway Whistler has implemented strict cleaning processes that follow Vancouver Coastal Health recommendations. Every cleaner and staff member must wear a mask and gloves whenever they are in the property. High touch surfaces are cleaned and disinfected between every stay. All linen, including duvet covers, are laundered in water about 60 Celsius.

Cancellation Policy

Bookings made March 8 2021 or later

For reservations of 14 days or less, a full refund less credit card processing fees will be offered if the reservation is cancelled more than 10 days prior to arrival. If the reservation is cancelled 10 days or less prior to arrival, no refund or credit will be available. Valid on stays with arrival date of March 8 2021 – May 30 2021.

Reservations of 14 days or longer will receive a full refund less credit card processing fees if cancelled more than 30 days prior to arrival. No refund shall be available if the stay is cancelled 30 days or less prior to the arrival date. Valid on stays with arrival date of March 8 2021 – May 30 2021.

Bookings made between October 27 2020 and March 7 2021

Reservations cancelled 2 days or more prior to arrival will receive a full refund.

Contactless Check-in

All of our properties are accessed without the need to meet our staff, and detailed instructions are sent out prior to arrival. Staff will not access the property unless absolutely required, and if they do, a mask and gloves will be worn. Early check-in service will not be available prior to the property being entirely cleaned and disinfected, and no mid-stay cleans will be available.
